The Daily Krapht – Scott Fab – “Leave My Friends”

There are many times in life that we turn to music to guide us through hard times and sometimes the music can help us realize a bigger picture, too. When Detroit-based singer-songwriter, Scott Fab was in attendance at a benefit concert organized to support a local musician who had his house broken into and had many vintage instruments stolen, Fab was overcome with the true value of friendship as he looked around at all of the support from this musician’s friends and community.

Fab decided to write “Leave My Friends” (the first single off his upcoming album Leave My Friends due out on April 21, 2017) to tell the victim’s story. With his acoustic guitar and soothing, emotional vocals, Fab brings a sense of beauty to a horrible story by speaking of the importance of friendship and being thankful for what you do have in life when you feel everything has been taken from you. “Leave My Friends” is about taking a step back to recognize the blessings you have in your life, which is a reminder we could all use on a regular basis.
