Lazy Legs- Chain of Pink

Lazy Legs- Chain of Pink

a4188155767_16Lazy Legs is a shoe gaze band out of Chicago, Illinois.  They are selflessly donating any money made from their newest  EP to a few organizations that could really use it most right now. Actions speak louder than words, and this action that Lazy Legs is doing is speaking volumes.

On January 3rd the band released Chain of Pink, a 5-song EP on bandcamp, with all the proceeds from the EP sales getting split between three charities;

ACLU, Sierra Club and Planned Parenthood. In a little over the week since the EP’s release, the band has raised around 150$ in donations with no signs of stopping.

Chain of Pink is a must have for any fan of the shoegaze genre. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m no expert on shoegaze but I immensely enjoyed listening to this EP. The band blends grunge, fuzz and all the atmospheric elements you can imagine to create music that is moody without seeming angsty or amateurish.

Bassist and vocalist Laura Wagner provides these ethereal vocals that seem to float above the music and noise. Even when the music seems so loud, her voice is there in the back of your mind and the music.

Whether you play it in the background while driving, doing work or giving it your full attention, Chain of Pink is a great album from start to finish. Take a listen below, and forgo your morning joe to help some fantastic organizations.
