The Daily Krapht – Nehedar – “You’re Beautiful When You Fall Apart”

Back in July of 2013, Wordkrapht introduced singer/songwriter, Emilia Cataldo’s project known as Nehedar to our readers. Nehedar brought exceptionally blunt and honest songwriting with her sixth independently produced album, This Heart, and she’s back to bring us another audacious track with “You’re Beautiful When You Fall Apart.”

The official music video for “You’re Beautiful When You Fall Apart,” is quite intriguing as Nehedar uses multiple clips from the horror film, “Daughter of Horror AKA Dementia” (1955) as the backdrop to this single. This track starts off with an electric guitar that will teleport the listener back to the days of 90s grunge rock. Nehedar continues to write lyrics that refuse to sugarcoat the realities of life and force you to face the truth head on. Her songwriting style also has a poetic and mysterious element which has the listeners questioning the meaning behind her music. Nehedar leaves it up to the listeners to dissect the music. Anyone who listens to “You’re Beautiful When You Fall Apart” can choose to interpret it in whichever way makes the most sense for them, and that’s one of the beauties of music.
