The Daily Krapht- The Drifting Classroom- “Doo What”
Liverpool contemporary alt/pop five-piece band The Drifting Classroom released their debut album, Oubliette on July 8th. With a whirlwind of lineup changes, and the trials that come with recording, the album is truly a labor of love.
“Doo What” is the first single off of the album to be released and we have the video to share with you today. Written by lead vocalist Marc Sunderland after encountering a woman who was a victim of domestic violence, “Doo What” is full of emotion in this narrative single. Set against a 50’s ‘do wop’ style, “Doo What” is the perfect track to introduce new ears to the harmonic band. Just a fair warning, this song will get stuck in your head, and the need to hit play over and over again will be strong. Don’t fight it, just go with it, OK?
Oubliette is available now for purchase on itunes, or streaming on all major streaming services. If you prefer a physical copy, Oubliette is available on cd and a 180g limited edition audiophile vinyl from Townsend Records. We do not recommend you pass this album up.
The Drifting Classroom have a few live shows set up for the rest of July and August, so if you can go see them please do and tell them Wordkrapht says Hello!
