THE DAILY KRAPHT- ANCIENT CITIES- “SUPERMOON BLACKOUT”

“Supermoon Blackout”, the sixth track on Ancient Cities’ newest album, combines psychedelic sentiment with the old school rock sound we all know and love. If you are a fan of The White Stripes, The Black Keys, and The Lumineers, then this band is a match made in heaven for you. Ancient Cities takes it upon themselves to set the bar very high for all other up & coming rock groups out there by use of their insane guitar solos, beautiful drum accents, and overall mellow rock sound. What I appreciate most about this band is their ability to make so many different sounds and elements work together so seamlessly. While Ancient Cities is categorized as rock music, bits and pieces of their tracks also inhabit some folk and pop sounds. Their surreal sound would make the perfect addition to any rock lover’s collection. Even their groovy album art matches every aspect of the fantastic music they create.
