The Daily Krapht – Sons of Settlers – “I Lost Myself”
Open your mind and ears to the Sons of Settlers. This quartet from Cape Town, South Africa combines african rhythms with western influences and a hint of kwaito beats. With all band members singing in a four part harmony, anybody paying attention over the last three years knows this will be a favorite of mine, and hopefully now yours! I will definitely be looking deeper into this band.
“We may all experience a time in our lives when we forget what makes us happy or how to live each day and make it count. When you reach that point it is important to stop, breath and find yourself again.
‘I Lost Myself’ is an expression of reaching this point of losing yourself in the chaos of our ever-changing world and the hope of finding yourself again with a deeper understanding of yourself and others.”
I know I’m at a point in my life where I needed to hear this today. Actually, eight times blasting through my Sony MDR-7506 headphones. Whether you are at a crossroads in your life, need a major pick-me-up, or are just trying to get to Friday, “I Lost Myself” will help lighten the load for a little while.
