FeminINDIE artist Phosphene is on fire this summer! Basically on the road since April, the band has played in 12 different states, and made the Vans Warped Tour in Kansas on July 30th. They also recently released a new video for their track “Scream.”

With a combination of band performance footage, and telling a story about domestic violence, Jeni Leigh and the boys remind us that, although they are a bunch of rockers, they take their role in the public seriously. “Scream” is a fight song. It is a “get off the floor” song. It’s an “I’m not alone” song. The lyrics are powerful, the imagery not so subtle, and the message quite clear.

Nobody should have to live in that kind of environment and relationship. If Phosphene gets through to even one person, they have done a fine job. With almost 6,000 views in just over a week since the release, I think they’ll help more than a few more.
