The Daily Krapht – Jay Nash – “Oogly Boogly (Live at SPACE)”
There’s something magical about experiencing a musician perform live. The music is more raw and you can truly connect with a song when you see the emotions expressed on the face of the artist while they pour their heart out on stage. That’s one of the many perks when seeing singer/songwriter, Jay Nash, in person.
Listening to his music, you immediately become a fan of his masculine, soulful voice and well-crafted songs. Then you get the opportunity to see him play live and you realize that this talented musician also has a witty, comical personality. Once Nash starts playing, it’s no laughing matter. This live version of “Oogly Boogly,” off his 2005 release, Some Kind of Comfort, captures what he’s all about. Passionate and extremely talented, Nash shows off his powerful vocals, along with his impressive guitar skills with an intense performance of a song that is open to interpretation with lyrics like “Our peace is deeper than the rivers and bigger than the hills we see.”
If you’d like to hear more from Jay Nash, he released Letters From the Lost in May, 2013 and he has a large catalog available on iTunes, as well.
